Every RCREW bracelet is handmade in the UK by disabled artisans at Watford Workshop, a charity providing meaningful employment, skills training, and a living wage to disabled people in Hertfordshire.
This isn't a donation model. Watford Workshop doesn't receive a percentage of our sales: they make the product. Every bracelet you buy is assembled by their team, which means your purchase directly funds the work they do.
Watford Workshop provides real jobs in a supportive environment. Their team handles packaging, assembly, and hand-finishing work for a range of clients, with RCREW bracelets among their projects. For many of their artisans, this is their first experience of paid, meaningful employment.
The workshop offers more than a wage. It provides structure, purpose, social connection, and the dignity of skilled work. That matters.
When we started RCREW, we wanted the bracelets to do more than represent LGBTQ+ identities. We wanted the making of them to mean something too.
Disability and LGBTQ+ communities share a history of fighting for visibility, for rights, and for the basic recognition that we belong. Partnering with Watford Workshop felt like a natural extension of what RCREW stands for: connection across communities, not within a single one.
When you buy an RCREW bracelet, you're supporting two things at once: LGBTQ+ visibility and disability inclusion. No middleman, no vague percentages. The people who made your bracelet earned a living wage for doing so.
That's impact you can wear.
To further this mission, a percentage of every sale goes to Watford Workshop. By choosing our products, you're not just expressing your pride and identity, but also contributing to the livelihoods of individuals within the disabled community.
Together, we are building a more inclusive world where every purchase helps bridge communities, foster connections, and promote visibility and support for all. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
